Hello everyone! Enza here, and today I’m bringing you another colorful layout. I can’t stay away from all the pretty colors in the Horizon collection! They are bright and beautiful, and just make me happy!
As I often do, I started with a cut file called Beautiful by Paige Evans. I love using big titles from time to time; I think they’re fun and you can do so much with them. I opted to back it with one of my favorite papers from the collection, Paper 03 – the rainbow of colors here does the job, and I didn’t feel I needed to use a different patterned paper behind each letter. This saved time and the result is just perfect for me
Once I had the cut file ready to go, I thought of adding tone-on-tone embellishments. The new Horizon Project Pad that you can find at JoAnn stores comes with plain cardstock in coordinating colors, making it easier to create elements that perfectly match the collection. I simply die cut several leaves with a craft die from my stash and tucked them under the cut file, trying to achieve that tone-on-tone look I mentioned above. I then adhered everything to the background with foam adhesive for dimension.
For the photo, I matted it with a few papers and placed it to the left of the title. I also added a sentiment from the 6×12 stickers and three puffy sticker hearts.
At this point, I felt like I still needed something. The title, although very colorful, was missing some dimension and texture. Flowers are always a good choice in my opinion, and since I didn’t have any left from the Horizon collection, I opted to use some from Whimsical. The colors coordinated perfectly, and the touch of gold foil gave them some sparkle.
Three small butterflies finished the layout.
I can’t believe how fast and easy was to put this page together. When you have such a gorgeous collection to work with, it only takes a few extra steps to create fun and colorful projects. Thank you for stopping by!
