Hello there! Enza here and today I’m sharing a new layout that is all about hearts. Nesting shapes have always been a favorite of mine. I enjoy finding different ways to layer and arrange them. There is so much you can do; whether you stack them, stagger them, or simply use them to give your photos a unique shape, they’re a must-have in your stash.
I find this layout to be a bit different from me. I usually embellish more, but here I decided to let the hearts be the focus.
I started by die cutting several hearts, making sure to have a variety of sizes to cover my background with. I also cut some as whole shapes and others as frames to create movement and more interest. I adhered everything down with foam dots for dimension and topped some of them with chipboard and puffy sticker hearts, just to add a different texture.
For the photo I decided to give it a heart shape as well; I love how the blackĀ & white photo pops against the colorful background. I embellished the top left side with a cluster of flowers and foliage and added a banner shaped sentiment.
To create continuity and bring in more of the green color, I arranged the same die cut branches in between the layers of the other hearts. Fussy cut butterflies and puffy sticker sentiments finished the layout.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have found some inspiration in my post today. Hugs!
