Hi there Pink Paislee fans! It’s Kylie on the blog with you today, sharing another layout I have just completed. My son celebrated his birthday recently so I wanted to create a special layout capturing this precious memory. I decided to use the Pick-Me-Up collection and began pulling sheets of paper with the colour scheme I had in mind. Lots of blue, aqua, and yellow.
I decided on Paper 07 for my background. A lovely sunshine yellow! I cut out Paige’s Star background cut file using white cardstock so the colours will really stand out. Once I had backed each star with varying papers, I adhered it to the background with foam tape so it has dimension on my page.
For my banner I punched some mini flags and ran them through my sewing machine to join them together. I didn’t worry about being too neat and I left strands of cotton overhanging. It all adds to the effect! Using the Alpha stamps from the Pick-Me-Up collection I stamped each one and embossed them with some gold embossing powder. This made it so sparkly!!
I added a free hand drawn edge to my ‘Oh Boy’ title with a white chalk pen before adding it over my two photos. Each photo has been distressed a little around the edges and added over the background with foam tape. The milkshake from the puffy stickers and the soda from the chipboard stickers made a cute addition to my title and were fitting for my theme!
To finish my layout and add some balance, I included a small pair of cardstock sticker phrases to act as a subtitle for my design. Again, not adding them too evenly or straight. You can even see some small smudge marks on my title from the chalk pen. This was a perfect feature for my completed layout!
I have also filmed a short process video of how my layout came together for you to see!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed seeing my layout.
