Hey scrappy friends, it’s Lisa back here and today I’m sharing two cute cards I made, using the Horizon collection… Apparently, I can’t get enough of this pretty collection! These cards can be used for every occasion, you just need to use the right sentiments to make them fit the purpose.
This month has been crazy and I didn’t have as much time as usual to craft. So I needed to make some cute but quick cards. I decided to go with some adorable cut and bend butterfly cut files by Paige. I cut them out on square pieces of white cardstock.
For the one with the blue frame, I backed all of the butterflies using yellow, light pink, dark pink, light blue, and dark blue patterned papers. Then I chose this blue patterned paper to adhere it to as my card base. I cut it slightly wider than the white square so that it would create a frame. I stitched through the middle of all of the butterflies and made French knots to create the butterflies’ heads.
For the more pastel card I didn’t back the butterflies one by one. Instead, I used my favorite patterned paper from the collection, the one with all the painted color spots and strokes. I created a card base with that paper and adhered my butterfly cut file on top. With that paper behind the butterflies, all the butterflies have a different color without any extra work!
