Hello, PP friends. Have you seen the gorgeous Indigo & Ivy collection? Oh my! I love the combination of soft and bold colors; the light pink against the deep blue is just perfect. I created two simple, everyday cards that can be whipped up in minutes. I feel like you don’t need much with this collection; patterns and contrasting colors do the work for you.
For the first card, I used a craft die from my stash. Butterflies are always a good option for me 😉
I chose one of my favorite papers from the 6×6 Paper Pad; it has three different shades of blue and it’s just beautiful. The die cut was my starting point. I simply backed it with a striped paper and decorated the front. I fussy cut more butterflies from one of the patterned papers in the same paper pad and arranged them around my die cut piece. Most of the embellishments were adhered down with foam dots, including the sentiment, which I placed in the lower right portion of the card. Blue, gold, and pink sequins, as well as tiny rub-on butterflies and puffy heart stickers added the final touch.
The second card features many bits and pieces from the collection.
I love clusters, especially on my cards – layers and layers of goodness concentrated on a small canvas. Here I started by trimming the card panel to 4×5.25”. I chose a patterned paper with blue dainty flowers on which I adhered a die cut and a “today” tab from the ephemera pack. Next, I placed a light pink tag and a sentiment on top and tucked flowers behind it. Two heart stickers finished the card. Easy and fast!
This collection is truly beautiful, friends. I hope you liked my cards today and can’t wait to see your creations with the new Indigo & Ivy collection.
