Hey y’all! My name is Brianna Lepper and I’m super excited to be the June guest designer for Pink Paislee! I have always LOVED anything and everything by Pink Paislee so you can imagine my excitement when I had a box FULL of the new Indigo & Ivy Collection at my doorstep! I had such a great time creating with this collection and hope that you love what I made!
Can we please talk about these super cute rolled flowers though? I used four different rolled flower cut files by Paige Evans and chose a few different patterned papers to cut them out. I layered them on top of a branch wreath cut file, also by Paige, and kept the embellishing pretty simple.
One of my favorite techniques is using cut files as stencils with mixed media elements. I chose a rose wreath cut file by Paige and cut it out on plain white cardstock to use as a stencil and then cut it out again on some vellum to add more texture to my layout. I applied some white texture paste onto the stencil and then added some different colored sprays to create a watercolor look.
In addition to adding mixed media on my layouts, I love ripping patterned paper and layering it up on some plain white cardstock. I stitched along each layer, applied white gesso, added some white textured paste to the textured background stencil cut file by Paige and sprayed on a few different Shimmerz sprays. I layered up some ephemera and fussy cut a few floral pieces from one of the patterned papers in the collection.
I love to create simple, yet detailed cards. For my first card I layered some of the ephemera, added some sequins, and finished it off with tangled thread and AC gold glitter ribbon. For my second card, I created a 4.5 x 4.5 size card and added ink splatters and mixed media using the textured background stencil cut file by Paige again. Both cards are fun and simple to create!
I absolutely loved creating this mini album! I chose to add in different techniques on each page so that anyone flipping through it can see that each page is special and unique. I made some rolled paper beads, sequin shakers, vellum tags filled with sequins, added in mixed media, stitching, layered embellishments etc. This mini is sized right at 3×4 inches and the front and back covers are sized at 3.5 x 4.5.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!!
