Hello lovely friends! It’s Kylie back with you today and I am sharing two cards I have made with the new Again & Again collection. Have you had a chance to check out this new range yet? WOW! I am so in love with the beautiful color palette and gorgeous prints. Lots of pretty florals and distinctive patterns. The cards I created were really quite easy and fast to make, combining some of my favorite colors from the range. I also added a splash of mixed media and foiling thanks to my Foil Quill.
For both cards I have used Paper 09 as the background on my card base. I felt the dark woodgrain pattern would be a perfect contrast with my gold foiling. Using my Foil Quill with my electronic cutting machine, I added some script text to the front. Once the background paper was adhered to my card base I added a machine stitched border as well as three contrasting paper strips in varying widths, overlapping.
I fussy cut lots of flowers and leaves from Paper 02 which were added to my card layered with foam tape. I bent some of the petals and leaves for added dimension.
Once I had all the paper blooms in place I decided to add some random splatters of gold paint. This balanced the gold foiled phrase nicely.
For my second card I pretty much used the same design for the layout but instead of using fussy cut blooms I used Paige’s layered flower cut file. It’s one of my favorites! For my background I added some white and gold paint splatters.
I used my Foil Quill again for the title as well as some vellum leaves to tuck in under my floral cluster. Once my flowers were layered together I centered them with some of the gold star sequins.
I loved seeing the dimension both cards had once completed as well as all the lovely layers of color.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my cards today and you have fun with the new Again & Again collection, creating your own inspirational pieces.
