The gorgeous new Again & Again collection was perfect for documenting a pretty sunrise in my Traveler’s Notebook. I love finding the beauty in the everyday and creating a special page to celebrate it.
I started by choosing my papers and, of course, the specialty vellum HAD to feature heavily here. My Pocket Page Notebook has a clear pocket in the middle of the spread so I created a double sided insert using the vellum, to hold both my title and my journalling.
I cut my title out of the cut-apart paper because I loved the sentiment and also the color worked so nicely with the vellum. I also cut out one of the smaller strips of patterned paper. Because the vellum is transparent I cut a second strip and a piece the exact same size as my title – these will cover the glue showing on the back of the insert. In the end I swapped out the second strip of patterned paper for one of the journaling spots on the same cut-apart paper.
For the left and right sides of my spread, I chose a dark woodgrain paper that would make my photo pop of the page and a subtle pink diamond paper to coordinate with the vellum insert. I used one of the sentiments from the Again & Again stamp set and created a subtle vertical column on the pink paper using a gray ink.
Again, I used the stamp set to stamp some moths in blue ink onto some of my scrap papers and then fussy cut them out. I added one to my title block and two more to the left hand side of the spread. Then I embellished with some of the enamel shapes in blue and gold and added a gold paper clip to my insert. Once I slipped the insert into the pocket, I could start working on the right hand side.
After adhering the woodgrain paper to the page, I stuck down my photo and then used a blue ink again to stamp two of the sentiments directly onto my photo. I kept this page very simple and only added a couple more enamel shapes to tie the whole spread together.
Here is a quick process video showing you how this page came together so simply:
The Again & Again collection is truly perfect for documenting all those beautiful, ordinary, oh-so-perfect everyday moments. I know that my Traveler’s Notebook is full of them and I hope yours is too!
