Hi scrappy friends, it’s Lisa back on the blog to share my new very colorful layout, using Horizon.
As I was scrolling through Pinterest one day, I saw this very cool drawing of some letters saying “LOVE”. I really loved that every letter had the same font but a different kind of style in terms of decoration. The V was full of flowers and I absolutely wanted to recreate that! So to start, I did what I always do… Trimming my patterned paper on each side and adhering it to another patterned paper, creating a border. Then I used some gesso to white out the center of the page and to make the letters stand out more.
For the letter “O”, I used a cut file from Paige, backed all the hearts using almost all of the colors from the rainbow patterned paper, and adding my photo in the middle. The photo I used I took in Phoenix in January with some of my scrap gals. I added two chipboard leaves, which I think add the perfect touch to the cut file flower. I also added a flower sticker and the subtitle, using mini foam Thickers from the Auburn Lane collection.
For the letter “E”, I used a purple plain paper from the Horizon Project Pad and added some gold details with my new Foil Quill tool. Then I added two borders with white paper and my favorite multi-colored patterned paper. I added three chipboard butterfly stickers on top. As always, I added some splatters to finish the layout.
I hope you like the layout! See you soon!
