Hello there! It’s Kylie back with you today to share another layout I have created with the Indigo & Ivy collection. If you know me, then you know how much I adore flowers and creating them. So for today’s layout… You guessed it. More flowers!
I had a photo of my daughter wearing her French T-Shirt from a recent holiday. I had already added this photo to her mini album but decided I wanted to re-scrap it onto a 12×12 layout. I also wanted the overall layout to have a shabby chic vibe to it.
For my background page I chose the beautiful Paper 08 (pink side) and I added some torn strips of the reverse side as well as Paper 09 to both the top and bottom edge. I curled the edges a little more once adhered into place to make the extra shabby.
Using Papers 02, 07, and 12 I cut some beautiful flowers and leaves using Paige’s Layered Flower cut file. I resized some to be smaller and curled each petal up a little before stacking together. It’s not the first time I have used these flowers, they are a firm favorite of mine! They were clustered together at the base of my page and I added the leaves to any space that I felt needed balance.
I backed my photo with some tissue paper as well as a few of the die cuts, layered randomly. Using some foam backing I adhered it to my page so that it was nestled amongst my blooms. Some of the chipboard phrases were also added to form my title.
To balance my page I added another cluster of blooms and leaves to the top side of my layout. I added one of the tags from the sticker sheet to the underside of the flowers with a sub-title also created from the sticker sheet.
With my layout almost complete, I decided to add some shadowing behind some of the flowers. This was done by adding blue watercolor paint randomly around each cluster, finished with some un-diluted droplets for effect.
Once completed my layout had a lovely texture and dimension.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you have enjoyed seeing my latest scrapbooking layout!
