Truly Grateful Cards | Kylie Kingham

Hi there everyone! It’s Kylie back on the blog with you today to share a new set of cards I’ve made. To create my cards I’ve used the super, super pretty Truly Grateful collection. This new range has a beautiful color palette and as always I was immediately drawn to the flowers and leaves in the die cuts.

To create a soft background for my white cards, I added some pink and yellow watercolors to some cardstock treated with gesso. Once dry I ran it through my die cut machine with a lattice die from my craft stash. This was then adhered to my card base and ready for embellishment.

From the embellishment pack I was immediately drawn to the heart circle. I decided to do a light wash of pink paint and cross stitched through the punched holes. This then became the main focus for my first card. I loved the finished result of the heart once stitched.

I added lots of lovely floral die cuts and leaves, making sure to use foam tape on some overlapping so that they were elevated for a 3D appearance.

I kept a similar layout design for my second card. I selected the “Loved” wooden embellishment and again used a light paint wash in pink to highlight it.

I used the cute acorn button as a little extra flair. It was backed with some pink cotton to help give some more texture.

I have also filmed a short video tutorial on just how my cards came together. I’d love for you all to see.
