Marvelous Layout | Lisa Fonseca

Rainbow layouts are super fun… no need for fancy stuff, it always looks bright and happy. @lisafonseca1985 created a very colorful wheel, using a @paigetaylorevans cutfile and 5 different @pinkpaislee collections. Get all your patterned paper together, mix and match and create a beautiful rainbow page! #lisafonseca #paigeevans #layout #pinkpaislee #scrapbook

Hey friends, Lisa Fonseca here today sharing my new favorite layout. I used five different Pink Paislee collections for this.

For this layout I wanted to create something using a few collections and rainbow colors. So to start I chose a cut file that would be easy to use with a lot of different patterned papers. I used one called Wedges from Paige Evans. Then I went to choose all of the papers. I went through Confetti Wishes, Turn the Page, Pick-Me-Up, Whimsical, and Horizon and chose colors in a rainbow pattern.

I backed all the pieces of the cut file and then hand-stitched around every piece, using matching thread. I think it gives the circle a more finished and pretty look. Then I chose all the embellishments I wanted to use from the five collections. I wanted to decorate mostly with flowers but also chose some other pieces. I also picked three elements from the brand new Paige Evans collection, Truly Grateful.

I placed all of the elements on the different colors the way I liked and then I punched out some white stars and placed them on the layout too. When I had everything the way I wanted, I started adhering everything down. I used liquid glue but also foam squares to create dimension.

As I always like to do, I cut off 1/4 inch of each side of the paper and adhered it to another patterned paper to frame my layout. Then I went through my gelatos and chose the ones that matched my colors on the layout. For every piece of the circle, I made some splatters in the same color. My first idea was to do this with punched stars. I punched all the stars from the same papers that I had used to back the cut file. I didn’t like how it turned out though, it seemed to overloaded to me. But I still wanted something that went off into the borders of the paper in an ombre kind of way. So then I chose to do that with splatters and I really like how it turned out.

For my picture, I used one I took last year my one of my friends. I thought black and white would look good on this layout. I matted it on some white cardstock and placed it on the layout. At first, I placed it in the middle… obviously… but I really didn’t like it that much. I like the spot I placed it later much better, don’t ask me why… :)

I hope you like how it turned out. See you soon!
