Hi friends, Lisa Fonseca back on the blog sharing two cute cards! Haha, don’t mean to brag but they’re just the cutest cards I’ve ever made! Wasn’t really hard though… using the new ADORABLE Truly Grateful collection by Paige Evans, I think that every single project will turn out being one of my faves.
When I first sat down to look through all of the papers, I really wanted to start with the ones that have all the leaves, and fussy cut all those elements out. Of course, that would be a fastidious job and so I decided to let my Silhouette cut everything out using my Pix Scan mat. Well, let’s just say, I wasn’t very lucky with that… the machine kept cutting wrong and ruined some of the paper… so I had to fussy cut all the leaves and that took quite some time.
I cut out green leaves for the first card to create a wreath. As a base, I used a coral colored patterned paper and adhered that to a white card base. To give it more detail, I drew some stitching lines around the border.
Then I put some liquid glue on that coral paper, creating an oval with it. I adhered all the leaves on that oval shape to make a wreath. Then I created my little cute paper-pieced bunny. As always, I cut the different pieces out, put them together, and used a grey and a white pen to draw some details and outlines. I adhered it to the card base and decorated with some more elements. I used a wood button, an ephemera flower, and a puffy bird sticker. For the sentiment, I used one of the cardstock sticker words.
For the second card, the process was exactly the same, only I used different colors and papers. I used the warm-colored leaves and a white background that I stuck on a light purple patterned paper card base.
I had so much fun creating with this super beautiful collection and I’m really looking forward to the next layouts I will make with it. I hope you like the cards, see you soon!
