Hello friends! It’s Kylie with you all today and I’m sharing a brand new layout I have completed with the stunning Truly Grateful collection. There is so much color in this gorgeous range and I dived straight into my layout using Paper 02 and 03 for my background. I totally love the lime and pink tones, I thought they would work well together.
I really wanted to add some bright bursts of color into my layout so I decided to fussy cut some leaves from paper 10. Once I got going I ended up fussy cutting the WHOLE sheet and I’m so glad I did as I was able to layer lots of leaves over each other in two fun border strips. I kept the colors of the leaves together so that it looked like a slow progression of color change along each row. Some of the leaves I adhered flat to my layout and others I used foam tape. This gave a nice change of dimension to my layout and added some texture.
Once my leaves were in place I decided the background was looking a little too solid so I tore some strips from both the top and lower edges away and added a small textured piece of Paper 17. I distressed the edges a little more which gave more texture and balance to the overall layout.
The ‘Grateful’ sticker was added as a title from the puffy accent stickers, but I also added some subtitles from the die cut pack amongst the leaves. I kept the color of the titles with the corresponding leaf tones so that they blended in nicely. I really loved the butterfly die cuts too so I adhered them to my layout with some soft pink cotton from my craft stash underneath them. This just added even more texture and interest.
To balance my layout a little more, I added in some journal strips below one of my subtitles. Since I’m not a huge fan of my handwriting I always like to add these by typing and then printing them out.
Once completed I loved the rainbow of color in my layout!
I’ve have filmed a short process video as well so you can see how my layout came together…
Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you also enjoy some scrapping fun soon !
