Hi everyone! My name is Krystal, and I’m so honored to be given this opportunity to play with the gorgeous Truly Grateful collection by Paige Evans and to share these projects with you. I hope you enjoy them! You can find me on my blog, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
I loved both sides of Paper 08 from Truly Grateful and I was so torn about which one to use. Ultimately, I knew I had to use the B-side on another layout and decided to recreate the rainbow myself! I used Paige’s Dipped Leaves cut file to cut leaves from all the colors in the collection and then added them to a watercolored background. And voila! Instant rainbow starburst!
For this layout, I used Paige’s Autumn cut file and cut it from plain white cardstock. To make it stand out from the bold, plaid background, I backed it with vellum and added foam adhesive to give it some dimension. All of the layers gave me lots of places to tuck in flowers and stickers and sequins!
This page started with yet another of Paige’s cut files (Flower Wreath), which I backed with all the pinks, purples, and reds from the collection. To embellish the wreath, I fussy cut leaves from Papers 10 and 23, then added a few dots from the Puffy Phrase Thickers and three wood flowers from the Sparkle Kit.
I just couldn’t stay away from all of Paige’s gorgeous fall cut files, so I added Leaf Wreath to the B-side of Paper 08 and backed it with coordinating papers from the collection. I only added glue to the center of the wreath, that way I could trim away the background on the inside of the wreath and mount the whole thing on a sheet of white cardstock. This gave me a clean, white background for my photo and title and also allowed me to use foam adhesive behind the leaves to give the page some dimension.
For my final project, I used the Book Binding Tool Kit to make a 4 x 6″ coptic mini album. I made four signatures, each with four double-sided papers from the collection. I also included a few sheets of vellum to add interest. To decorate the spine, I made a paper tassel and added a heart Puffy Sticker and one of the Epoxy Wood Buttons. I’ll be filling this album with my Thankful 30 Project this November.
