Hello there crafty friends. It’s Thanksgiving week and that calls for a layout that is all about being thankful and appreciate the simple things in life.
I love this photo of my little one. She was soaking in the last rays of sun while playing with the fallen leaves on a beautiful autumn day. When I saw Paige’s Fall Wreath cut file, I thought it would be perfect to document this memory. It’s a simple layout but packed with gorgeous embellishments and pops of color.
I started by backing some parts of the cut file with patterned paper. I then adhered it down with foam dots for dimension. I fussy flowers from Paper 02 and Paper 15, while the apples come from Paper 12. The colors in the photo complement the ones in the collection and bring everything together. I layered several ephemera pieces and die cuts behind it and embellished it with fussy-cut apples, leaves, and branches.
I went with a big title for which I used an older cut file. I cut the word “Thankful” three times from patterned paper and glued it offset to let all the layers show. Once that was in place, I added more die cuts, stickers, and colorful dots here and there. Small clusters of embellishments can be found around the wreath and on the title.
I finished the layout with enamel hearts and sentiment stickers.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope this page has given you some ideas for your next scrapbook project. Happy Thanksgiving!
