Hello friends. It’s Kylie with you on the blog today sharing a brand new layout I have completed. Christmas is certainly approaching with speed so I couldn’t resist creating a layout with the Together for Christmas collection. With so many gorgeous paper prints and a festive color palette I found my layout came together easily!
I found myself creating with more ‘traditional’ scrapbooking techniques for this layout. I brought out some border punches from my stash as well as did lots of fun fussy cutting. Paper 12 was selected for my background and I used several papers to create my punched borders including a gold toned page from the Project Pad. I layered several strips of various width papers together for the top of my design and added balance with decorative borders.
As soon as I saw Paper 03 with its gorgeous festive blooms I knew I wanted to fussy cut some of them out. I also cut loads of the green foliage. The petals of the flowers were curled a little before adding them to my layout with foam tape. This helped them sit up from my background page, adding some nice dimension to my design. Once I was happy with the position of them all I tucked in all the greenery and added my title from the word Thickers with gold accents. The gold was so lovely that I also added a few of of the gold leaves amongst my flowers.
My photo had a lot of open space to it so I added two of the layered stickers with glitter and foil over the top. The bows I tied were made with string from my craft stash. Once in place they finished off my layout nicely.
Thanks so much for taking a look at my layout today. I hope it leaves you feeling inspired for the festive season.
