Hello there! It’s Kylie with you all today sharing a new set of cards I completed recently. I wanted to create some Valentine-themed cards and thought the Lucky Us collection would be perfect. I used some white cardstock from my stash to create the card base which measures around 6×4″.
Both sides of Paper 10 were used to create the background of my cards. I trimmed the top piece slightly smaller to the red floral side so that it had a nice border edge. I also wanted my cards to have multiple layers to them so I created some ‘notepaper’ pieces with the 6×8″ Paper Pad by trimming down various designs and using my EK Tools edge trimmer punch to create the distinctive top edge of them all.
Before adhering each layer in place I used my distress tool to add texture to all the edges. Adhesive craft foam was adhered to the back of each different paper piece before adding into place on my cards – this is so they have dimension and the layers appear separated.
I cut sentiment quotes from the 6×8″ Paper Pad to add to my cards. To complete them, I then embellished with foam stickers as well as the cardstock stickers.
These cards were very easy to make and once finished I loved all the colors and multiple layers they had. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have enjoyed seeing my cards and they have inspired you a little with your own card making.
