Hey friends, it’s Lisa and today, just a few days before Christmas, I’m sharing these adorable Christmas cards I made using the dreamy Together for Christmas collection.
For my cards today, I created these two little, super cute, (and famous) squirrels. I drew them on white cardstock, cut the pieces out, traced around them on different patterned papers, assembled the pieces, and adhered them on white paper. I stitched around them with a backstitch using matching thread. Then I cut them out, leaving a white border.
For the first card I used a pretty green patterned paper. I cut out a square piece and adhered it to a dark blue patterned paper that was slightly bigger so that I would have a frame. Then I used the stamps from the collection. There are a few different snowflake stamps and I used one of the smallest ones. I wanted gold snowflakes and created them by embossing. Then I placed my first little squirrel on the card and added the embellishments to see where I wanted them.
I used fussy cut flowers and leaves, snowflake stickers, and star stickers. When I had everything how I liked it, I started adhering everything, creating dimension with foam squares. As a final touch, I added the sentiment which is a cardstock sticker and I also added a small mistletoe sticker on the squirrel’s head.
For my second card I used this beautiful woodgrain patterned paper that I adhered to a pretty floral one. I also wanted to add snowflakes. This time I used the biggest snowflake stamp and white embossing powder. The white really stands out on the dark woodgrain… it looks amazing!
Then I added some snowflake and star stickers and a few punched polka dots from red glitter paper. I adhered my squirrel and only needed to add a sentiment. I used the word “celebrate” from the gold epoxy sticker sheet. I adhered it to a pinkish patterned paper and cut it out leaving a border.
I hope you like them and I wish you all MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
