Hello there and thanks for stopping by the blog today. It’s Kylie back with you again to share a brand new layout I have been working on. I am normally one who goes straight to pastel colors but I really have been enjoying the darker tones in Paige Evans’s Truly Grateful collection which I have chosen to use in my layout. The richness of color and floral themes were perfect to capture a photo of my kiddos together.
Paper 04 was selected as my background and as a centrepiece I have used Paige’s Flower Wreath cut file. I backed each flower with various papers in lots of different colors and I also backed the centre with Paper 21 so that the polka dots would be in contrast to my background. Almost like a little window.
The cut file was adhered flat to the centre of my background and with my photo in place I added lots of the flower and leaf die cuts over the top. Some of these were added with foam adhesive so that it gave my layout a lovely dimension. A cute little tag from the die cuts was also added with an organza ribbon bow which I had in my craft stash.
I love how the different floral die cuts look as though they are as one with the cut file. Here you can see the varying heights I achieved by using the foam tape:
To complete my layout and to add balance to my wreath I created a title for my page using the Epoxy Stickers. These have to be one of my most favorite supplies from this collection.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today, I hope you have enjoyed seeing my layout!
