This month I was in the mood to create some special and out-of-the-ordinary cards. I thought so much about it and had a lot of different options, but in the end, nothing was really the right thing… so I made some ordinary cards… which are cute too. :)

I wanted to feature the washi tapes and the stamps from the collection.

I started by adding a frame of washi tape on the card base. Then I drew a fun little zebra, cut it out, and used the stencil to retrace it on different patterned papers. I paper-pieced it together and adhered it to the cards, using thicker foam squares behind the head to make it stand out more.

The hearts I used, I fussy-cut out of the pretty speciality paper and I used some super adorable glitter enamel hearts on top of them.

I also created a cute little bow and added glitter tape in the middle. To stamp my sentiment, I used rainbow colors. I love how that looks :)

For the unicorn card, I pretty much did the same things, but using some different products. I used another washi tape to make the frame. Instead of enamel hearts, I used the puffy hearts and I used a different sentiment stamp.

The cards are really easy and came together pretty fast. You can gift them on Valentine’s day but you can also use them for a birthday by adding different sentiments. I hope you are inspired. Have fun creating your cards with he Lucky Us collection!
