Hello dear friends. It’s Kylie with you again today and I am SO excited to share my very first project created with Paige Evan’s new Bloom Street collection. I have to say I think this could be one of my all time favorite collections! (Who am I kidding? I love them all.) So many pretty colors and florals are included with this range and I straight away knew I wanted to make a fun Spring theme design.
For my background it was a hard choice deciding what paper to use – they are all so pretty! In the end I worked with Papers 9 and 16. The edges of the striped paper were torn and then distressed a little more for texture before adhering in place.
Using Paige’s layered Flower and Leaves cut file I began cutting lots of different sized flowers using color ways that matched the striped paper. Each petal was curled before gluing each layer together. This takes a little time, but the finished result is always well worth it.
I had two photos of my daughter I wanted to use for this layout. One was of her pulling a cheeky face so I decided to print it smaller and position them on opposite sides of my background. After each photo was in place, I adhered the flowers so they looked snuggled amongst them.
I fussy cut the main title from Paper 17 and used a decorative punch across the top so it look like some note paper. Some smaller subtitles were cut from Paper 13 and added below each photo. To complete my page I added a few of the stunning Dimensional Butterfly Stickers and centred them with some of the iridescent enamel dot stickers.
So that you can see how my layout came together I have also filmed a short process video for you to watch:
Thank you for taking a look at my new layout today. I hope it gives you a little ‘Spring’ inspiration too!
