Garden Bloom Cards | Kylie Kingham

Hi friends, it’s Kylie back with you today with some pretty cards I have created with Paige’s new Bloom Street collection. I love flowers and I love to fussy cut so I decided to created some layered flower cards to send to someone special.

My card base was white cardstock from my stash and I kept the card size to around 6×4″. I adhered a colored background to each from Papers 2 and 15, which I had added a machine stitched border to. I don’t normally get my stitching 100% straight and over the years I have realised this adds to the effect of the finished project.

Using Papers 2 and 12 I fussy cut lots of blooms and foliage. Once completed I began layering them onto each card base to create the designs I had envisioned. I adhered some flat to the card base with glue whilst others are adhered using foam tape squares. This helps them to look raised from the background giving a lovely dimension. I like to tuck them in every little vacant space I can see amongst the main group of blooms until I am happy with the overall balance.

With so many cute sentiments on Paper 13, I selected one for each card which were added with foam tape. To complete the cards I also couldn’t resist adding one of the Dimensional Butterfly Stickers.

Thanks for taking a look at my cards today! I hope you have enjoyed seeing them and it gives you a little inspiration for your own card making.
