Hey friends, it’s Lisa back on the blog and today I’m sharing a new layout using Bloom Street.
I wanted to use my favorite colors from the collection and create a pretty spring-like layout. So I started by choosing a cut file. I found this floral one by Paige called Flower Background. I used it in a bigger scale, turned it to have it more diagonally, and made it go out of the page. I love how that looks.
Then I backed the cut file with six different patterned papers, not adhering the papers to the cut file directly, but adhering them to the background and the layering the cut file on top, making it look more crooked and not perfect, letting some of the flowers peek out from the sides. I love that look.
For the background, I used one of the watercolor patterned papers and added white splatters. For the centers of the flowers, I cut out circles, stitched around them in matching colors, and then added some tangled thread behind each of them. I also fussy-cut out leaves and added them to some of the flowers.
For my photo, I used one I took last year when I was in Provence, France, with my girls. I matted it with a few scraps of patterned paper and placed it on my layout. I then added the title. I hand-wrote it and hand-cut it out. Then I added words from the puffy word stickers.
To finish, I added some stickers, a butterfly, punched stars, enamel shapes, and rhinestones. I love the end result and I hope you do too, let me know!
Thank you so much for being here!
