Hello dear friends! It’s Kylie with you all today and I have another layout to share with you. I recently spotted this Flower and Butterfly cut file designed by Paige Evans and it immediately made me feel so happy and inspired to create a very Spring-themed layout. The Bloom Street collection was the perfect choice for my design.
For my background, I selected papers 2, 3, and 15 to layer over each other and create a border effect. Paper 2 was my top page and once trimmed and in place I used a white marker to draw a fine border around the edge. I did this freehand as I didn’t want it to look too neat. I cut out the cut file and backed it with various pastel papers, before adhering it to my background, centred. I did this with foam tape so that it looks like it is floating above the background, adding a nice dimension.
My photograph was printed in black & white before being backed and added over the top of the wreath. When I was happy with its positioning I began layering lots of the beautiful floral die cuts as well as the dimensional butterfly stickers around the wreath. I love the layers and extra color this created on my layout and again it created lots of dimension.
To complete my page I added in one of the phrase puffy stickers as well as adding some of the puffy word stickers in the curve at the top of my wreath.
Thanks for taking a look at my design today. I hope it inspires you a little and you can enjoy some scrappy time of your own!
