Hello dear friends! It’s Kylie back with you today with a fun set of cards that are so easy to make. I’ve used the super sweet And Many More collection to create these and all you will need from your supplies to make them, apart from scissors and adhesive, is a 1″ circle punch.
As I have mentioned before, I love creating textured backgrounds. To begin with, I created a card base from white cardstock measuring 6×4″ once folded in half. Papers 06 and 09 have been used to back the top of my card bases. Each were cut slightly smaller so that an even border is seen. I used the reverse of each paper to add another slightly smaller piece to the top of my card. I have adhered these pieces with foam tape so that it sits a little higher.
Using my 1″ circle punch I began punching lots of circles from various papers. I then cut each circle in half neatly and starting in the middle of each card, working my way up, began layering each half. I tried to keep to a brickwork pattern with each circle half so that they overlapped each other, almost looking like scales.
From paper 04 I fussy cut some cute tags to add as sentiments to the front of the cards. I added a white freehand drawn border with a white marker. I punched a hole at the top and added some string from my craft stash. These tags were also adhered with foam tape.
Once completed, I loved the bursts of color and the texture that the circle halves gave to my cards.
Thanks for checking out my little cards today. I hope they have given you a little inspiration to try making some for yourself!
