Back in March, I subscribed to Paige’s spring cut files. For 19 days, we got a cut file sent by email, every day. This is one of these cut files. I really love it.
I started by letting my Silhouette machine cut it out. I knew I wanted to have pink boots, so I got into my 2×2 paper pads from various Paige Evans collections and chose the ones that I wanted. With the mini paper pads, it was easy to have a lot of colors and patterns. I cut them into small squares and adhered them behind each circle. Then I used some scrap pink patterned paper and backed the soles of the boots. I also used a puffy apple sticker as a little detail on one of the boots.
I didn’t want to back the flowers of the cut file in a traditional way, I wanted to create more dimension and texture by adding them on top. So I cut out a bunch of flowers and leaves from one of the Truly Grateful patterned papers. I also punched mini flowers from different scraps of patterned papers. First I used a purple patterned paper to back all the flowers normally and then I put one or two fussy-cut flowers on top. I also adhered all the mini flowers on top of the cut file and to make it even cuter, I stitched French knots into all of the centers. For the leaves, I just randomly hand-cut leaf shapes out of green patterned papers and backed the leaves of the cut file. They don’t match exactly, but that’s exactly how I like it
I created my background with a wash of watercolors and let it dry. Then I adhered the cut file to it using foam. To make the flower bouquet even bigger, I added some fussy-cut leaves around the whole thing.
I LOVE all the flowers and colors!! The photo I chose is one Jen Schow took of me when we were in Phoenix in 2019 for Creativation. We had fun taking pictures in the flower section at JoAnn and Michaels. I matted it on some scraps of paper and adhered it next to the boots. Then I added my title using the Truly Grateful Thickers and the gold foam Thickers from Auburn Lane.
I finished by adding a flower cluster topped with a cute puffy rabbit sticker next to my photo to balance the layout and sprinkled some gold and blue ink around.
I really hope you like the layout and are inspired to create a huge flower bouquet on your page! Thank you so much for visiting!
