I love going on vacation but it ‘s always a little bittersweet on the way home. I decided to document that today using a patterned paper from the Wild Child collection and a bunch of embellishments from the Pick-Me-Up collection.
I started with a globe cut file by Paige Evans and a photo of me, my daughter, and my bestie on our way home from the cruise we took in February. I added all sorts of stickers and die cuts that reminded me of our trip.
I think it’ s good to remember that we can use embellishments that help remind us of a feeling or place, even if it doesn ‘t directly relate to the photo(s). The sailboat, the sandals, and the crane are all examples of that.
I also added word stickers in each area of embellishment to further illustrate my story.
I typed the actual story on my typewriter and added it to the left side of the globe. I love that when you start with a cut file, it kind of takes some of the design decisions away or at least makes them a bit easier!
You can see it all come together in the process video!
And here’ s another look at the completed layout…
I love that I was able to use all of those bright and colorful embellishments inside the globe,
