Top Trends {Create Shades Of Color}

Hello, everyone!  Renata Moni here. This week we are sharing projects inspired by the Ombre Trend.  In case you missed it, Ombre is the term for color shades or tones of color.  These images below show you how this trend is being used in the fashion and beauty industry today!

After looking at those Ombre coler shaded nails, I decided to play with various shades, and I felt inspired by how colors were used there! So I started using some inks….all of them in pink, but in different shades.

Have you played with the Mistables papers by Pink Paislee? They are amazing and so versatile and you can mist or ink the papers until you get the perfect of the papers you are using! Perfect,right?

To do the Ombre technique using diferent inks I started by misting the background of my paper using a light pink glimmer mist. I started by applying mist to just the edges of the Mistables paper spreading to the center and getting dark to the upper side.

You can see that the upper side is darker. I loved this effect and the shades I got here.  When I combined my base paper with the wonderful London Market and Spring Jubilee collections,the result was very elegant! Here are some detail photos:

And here is a full shot of the project I made.  Hope you like it!

Cards for Mom {Using Paper Scraps}

Hello, everyone! Renata Moni here to share with you some cards ideas for Mother´s Day.  All week long we will focus on projects that you can use to jump start your creativity for making handmade cards and gifts for MOM!

The London Market Collection by Pink Paislee is so versatile and so wonderful, I couldn’t resist “playing” and I made three cards! The soft colors and the patterns are perfect for cards, so show your love for your mother!

For the first card, I wanted to do something feminine, and what better way to do that than using flowers? Lots of paper scraps were used here, and I love tearing them to get volume. It´s a good use of your paper scraps.

For my second card, I decided to  let the beautiful paper show up! I just added a tag and a big flower to give dimension and pink twine to give it a pop of color! So easy and fast to do!

For the sentiment on the first and the second card, I hand cut a little “flag” and used the Bitty Blocks alpha stickers. Aren’t they perfect?

And finally for my third card  I created something “clean”. Only papers, and some butterflies to give a romantic touch.

I Hope these ideas inspire you to make a beautiful card for your mother too. I am sure she will love it!

Hot products {Day3: Indigo Bleu Shipping Tags and Buttons/brads}

Hi everyone.

Renata Moni here,  showcasing some versatile products from Pink Paislee’s Indigo Bleu collection: Shipping Tags and Buttons/ brads. They are amazing to use and easy to combine with your projects.

I have this first layout to share with you where I used the wood buttons as part of the title. You can see the detail that I painted the center to give color to it. Look how cool is that!

I also used the  Shipping Tags here  layering with other papers to get volume . Love this effect.

On this second layout, I made the background using the Shipping Tags. With small pictures I think they are perfect as mat.

Those tags  are so beautiful and you can use them to write the journaling, as mat for the photo, layering them with papers, as embellishment…whatever you imagine!

I spread some buttons to the background too…

I also used the brads.  They are covered with fabric. So Fabulous!

Look that I put a  bling on it to make it shine!

Hope you can have fun using those products!

The Layered Look {Six Ways to Add Layers}

Hello,everyone!
Renata Moni here today to share some tips with you.
As you can probably see in my projects I love layers!
I love the effect you can get with them and the volume on the pages.

So, this time I will show you how can you  get beautiful layers using papers, embellishments  and featuring the picture which is the main subject!

Tip.1- Use border punches!
You can get a beautiful effect using over layers.
As you can see in the detail, I used some different borders and put them over the papers.
Look how cool effect!

Tip 2- Tear Paper.
One of my favorites techniques is tearing.  After tearing you can torn the edge to get volume.
Tip 3- Using embellishments as chipboard, wood, ribbons you can make the background or the mat for your pictures clustering them.
Tip 4- Choose a type for your title that make it pop and feature the colors.
Use  alphabets  with  the color combo of the papers  with a little bit of contrast. Put the letters together  over the layers.

Tip5 . Use charms /embellishments over your pictures.
It´s a fun way to you to hide some ugly detail if your pictures is not so good, or just to give more charm for them.

Tip 6- Using foam dots on the backs of the embellishments and papers to continue making multiple layers;
And here  is my layout.

Love Week: make the title pop

Hi everyone, this is Renata Moni with a layout idea for you today!

I love the vibrant colorful hues in the new Snow Day collection from Pink Paislee. Although it is a winter collection, the patterns are adorable. I think this line fits perfectly with other themes, including Valentines Day. I love the red and blue, and even with a touch of pink, I used in a boy page. Since it is summer here in Brazil, I used summer pictures  and love  as my theme!

As I used smaller pictures  and “negative spaces “, my title design was the key to making this layout pop. One of my favorite things is mixing types. So I used the wood alphabet painted with red  TomBow pen and the big word was cut using The  Silhouette Machine. In the background, I sprayed a red  mist to give some “texture”. Lots of scraps and layers give the page volume.
