Clear Scraps Blog Hop {Day 4}

Hi all!  Corrie here for day 4 of our Clear Scraps blog hop!  It has been so fun to see all the great projects made with Pink Paislee and Clear Scraps products this week, don’t you think?!

I worked with the Clear Scraps Lacey 8×8 Mixable Album and made it into a free standing frame to display photos on a table or desk.

I used the clear acrylic top layer as the “glass” for my frame.  And being a lover of the layered look, I added rub-ons, a stamp, a tag, ribbon and chipboard stickers to the acrylic to create the framing effect.

Under the acrylic, I embellished the chipboard to be able to stand alone.  I included the details of the pictures on this page so I would have them but with the acrylic over the chipboard, my handwriting is hidden.

The acrylic was perfect for taking rub-ons and the stamps.  I was so happy with how fun and easy it was to use!

Now for some fun! How about a chance to win a grand prize package at the end of the week? All you have to do is leave a comment on the Pink Paislee blog all week long, and you’ll be in the running for the grand prize that will go to one lucky winner at the end of the week! And be sure to stop by the Clear Scraps blog all week long, as well, to check out more lovely creations and for more chances at prizes!

Clear Scraps Blog Hop {Day 1}

Hello everyone! Ranjini here today to kick off day 1 of our Clear Scraps Blog Hop! We are excited to be partnering with Clear Scraps all this week to bring you lots of creative projects combining Pink Paislee and Clear Scraps products!

I loved working with Clear Scraps’ Send it Clear Card Sets. The sets come with clear card pieces, 4 clear binding stickers and a translucent envelope. My first card uses the Send It Clear Scallop Card Set.

The Clear Scraps products are so versatile that I was able to try a number of techniques – I dry brushed the sides of the scallops. I then wet brushed the back of each scallop, rubbing some of the drying paint away so that some of the underlying layer showed through. Then I used my Spring Jubilee Stamps to stamp and emboss the scalloped pieces. I used a heat gun  when embossing, and found that the pieces curled up and lost their smooth flat shape, but they remain malleable – so I was able to bend them back down and the end result was just the right amount of distortion – it ended up being a happy mistake!

Then I applied lots of Spring Jubilee Press Ons and Spring Jubilee Chipboard Pieces, punched a hole in the front scalloped pieces and added some green baker’s twine. I layered Spring Jubilee paper under the card base piece.

For my second card, I used the Send It Clear Heart Card Set. Once again, I used the gorgeous Spring Jubilee papers, stamps and embellishments to highlight the shape of this card base. This is truly one of my favorite Pink Paislee collections, the whole line is just stunning; the colors are gorgeous and the pieces work together so beautifully. This time, I chose to cover the card base pieces completely. I love that you have so many options with the card sets; they are really unique!

The heart opens up to reveal the center of the card – such a fun surprise for the recipient to open!

And how cool is this nifty translucent envelope to mail your beautiful creation when you’re all done? Guaranteed happiness in the mailbox!

I love that the envelope is included in the Clear Scraps card set. How many times have you made a card, only to realize you have to find (or make) an envelope to fit it? Clear Scraps makes it easy peasy.  I can’t wait to send these to friends!
