These cute kraft Li’l Blooms by Punky Sprouts were originally intended to be rolled into a flower, but I decided to make fireworks from a couple of them instead. I spritzed two of the Li’l Blooms with some silver color mist, then arranged them (thanks to a few strategically placed Glue Dots) into messy coils. Star stickers from the Declaration line finished off the effect.

This mini album is meant to document a 5K race that I’ve run on Independence Day weekend for the past three years and plan on continuing to run for many years to come. I pre-decorated all of the pages, but only the first six have photos since I’m dedicating two pages to each year of the race. If you’re making a mini album and find that you have extra pages at the end, you might consider doing the same since it’ll be super easy to simply insert more photos of the same theme later on.

I created this flower by again spritzing a Punky Sprouts embellishment (a kraft colored piece of coffee-filter paper) with silver mist, then splattering with red glitter. After all of that had finished drying, I pinched the flower in the middle to create gathers and added a star sticker from the Declaration sticker sheet to finish it off.

I was thrilled to get to work with their Trunk Punky album because I am a huge fan of acrylic in my mini albums! Not only does this album have acrylic, but it also has canvas! Double the love! What is fun about chipboard albums is that you can alter it any way you like!

I love the way the papers and stickers from the Declaration line are so easy to layer on top of each other. They all match perfectly and can be used for any type of summer photos. I used it for our recent trip to the beach!

I love to be able to peek through the album from the cover, so I added another acrylic sheet, for the front right panel. I just cut it to the same size as the original cover piece.

It is so hard to show the layers and acrylic in photographs, so I went ahead and created this short video so you can see the entire album page by page!

There are so many possibilities for teaming these items up with all of Pink Paislee’s collections, and the design team will be here all week with more fabulous projects featuring both Pink Paislee and Punky Sprouts!

Lil’ Blooms

My friends recently tied the knot with a color palette of many shades of blue.  I blended several types of ink on this Mistables background starting at the lower corner and lightening towards the center and did the same in a smaller area at the top right for balance.  The background paper really takes on life when we add color like this!

I brought out the shades of blue in various places around my page: the dark blue on the Mistables tag, lighter blue on the “&”, dark blue edged ruffled trim, and stitching too.

The trail of butterflies follows the ombre pattern as well.  I started them plain white in the center of the page and they increase in intensity towards the top.

If we haven’t convinced you this week that ombre is both fun and beautiful I don’t know what will!  I just love how all the projects have been very different from each other but make use of the same technique! With the Mistables line you can easily experiment and make this look work for you too!

Hello, everyone!  Renata Moni here. This week we are sharing projects inspired by the Ombre Trend.  In case you missed it, Ombre is the term for color shades or tones of color.  These images below show you how this trend is being used in the fashion and beauty industry today!

After looking at those Ombre coler shaded nails, I decided to play with various shades, and I felt inspired by how colors were used there! So I started using some inks….all of them in pink, but in different shades.

Have you played with the Mistables papers by Pink Paislee? They are amazing and so versatile and you can mist or ink the papers until you get the perfect of the papers you are using! Perfect,right?

To do the Ombre technique using diferent inks I started by misting the background of my paper using a light pink glimmer mist. I started by applying mist to just the edges of the Mistables paper spreading to the center and getting dark to the upper side.
