Hot Products {Day 4: Prairie Hill}

Hello everyone!

This is Mahlin, coming to you today to show off some really cute embellishments from the Pink Paislee Collection, Prairie Hill. We are featuring the Chipboard Pops and Accolade Stickers.

Working with circles and dots of all sorts is a fun way to vary your balance and create paths for the eye to follow.  For this layout, I made a soft diagonal wave across my layout, using mostly Chipboard Pops, but also some deconstructed Accolade Stickers.

My wave of Pops starts, not all the way down in the left corner, but a few inches up, working it´s way in a soft diagonal up, but not all the way up to the right corner.  The two main things on my mind when placing the Pops was to make the wave look soft and to vary the pop-patterns along the way. I didn’t want the same pattern to close to each other, my feeling was it would get to heavy for the eye, and I would loose the softness.

Amongst my photos I had a photo that I thought matched both the softness the wave created and the great muted colors of Prairie Hill, so I wasn´t afraid to add some pops directly on top of the photo.

I decided to take my Accolade Stickers apart. I just wanted the bigger circles and not the paper ribbons or words.  But they can always be used in another way, on a card or as embellishments on another layout, so I took it apart very carefully.  To match the Accolade with the pops even more and to make it one with the wave, I added a Chipboard Pop on top of my deconstructed Accolade Sticker to balance them together.

Hot products {Day3: Indigo Bleu Shipping Tags and Buttons/brads}

Hi everyone.

Renata Moni here,  showcasing some versatile products from Pink Paislee’s Indigo Bleu collection: Shipping Tags and Buttons/ brads. They are amazing to use and easy to combine with your projects.

I have this first layout to share with you where I used the wood buttons as part of the title. You can see the detail that I painted the center to give color to it. Look how cool is that!

I also used the  Shipping Tags here  layering with other papers to get volume . Love this effect.

On this second layout, I made the background using the Shipping Tags. With small pictures I think they are perfect as mat.

Those tags  are so beautiful and you can use them to write the journaling, as mat for the photo, layering them with papers, as embellishment…whatever you imagine!

I spread some buttons to the background too…

I also used the brads.  They are covered with fabric. So Fabulous!

Look that I put a  bling on it to make it shine!

Hope you can have fun using those products!

Hot Products {Day 1: London Market}

Good morning, everyone! Melissa here with a layout to share with you today showcasing two fun, versatile products from Pink Paislee’s London Market collection- the Collage Sheets and Chipboard Buttons.

By now you’re used to seeing the lovely pastel grays, pinks, greens, and aquas of London Market, so the rainbow of bright color above may be a startling look for you when it comes to this line. The fantastic thing about neutral elements such as the Collage Sheets and customizable elements such as the resist-printed Chipboard Buttons is that they can be combined on their own (or with other more neutral elements from the collection, as shown in the layout above) to create an entirely new look!

I arranged several pieces of the Collage Sheets along the edge of this page to create a layered border. These sheets are double-sided and include both white and black prints, so it only takes one or two sheets (though I used several here) to create this type of effect- just cut one sheet into several chunks and use both sides to maximize the designs!

The Chipboard Buttons can be inked with any variety of mediums such as mists, stamp inks, and watercolors, but here I chose to use several of the bolder hues from Tim Holtz’s Distress Ink line with Ranger. Simply press the buttons directly onto the ink pad, then gently wipe away the excess from the resist areas to reveal the design. I arranged the buttons in a rainbow, edging the collage sheet border to create contrast between the more decorative side of the page and the side housing the photos and journaling.

It’s always fun to see what kinds of new looks you can create from a paper collection!

Material Mix {Prairie Bleu?}

Hi, Kim here sharing with you my take on mixing up two different Pink Paislee lines.  While there is no doubt that the products within each Pink Paislee range work perfectly together, it is also true that the products from different ranges can be mixed and matched easily to make the most effective use of your stash.

In this layout, I have used a combination of Prairie Hill and Indigo Bleu – my two favourite ranges from the recent release … something to do with being a mum of a boy I think!

I have used strips of paper from both ranges on the left side.

Then a mix of embellishments including the tag, border sticker, chat cloud and bitty blocks from Indigo Bleu and the element and accolade stickers from Prairie Hill.  I think that the two ranges work so well together, especially on a neutral background, such as inked kraft cardstock.

A great way to tie together different ranges is to use a unifying element. In this layout, I have hand-drawn lines around each of the patterned paper strips.

If you normally only use one range when scrapping a layout, have a go at mixing it up.  I am sure that you will love the end result.

Spring Fling Week {Fresh Start}

Hi Everyone, hope your week is off to a wonderful start and that you’ve been able to enjoy the fresh spring weather.  Unfortunately, here in Singapore, we don’t get to experience spring as it’s pretty much hot all year around (I usually say that the seasons here are summer and a hotter summer).  However, I do remember the spring times that I spent in Europe and absolutely love taking strolls in the park and gardens, taking in the crisp fresh air, listening to all the birds chirp away and my favorite, catching a scent of the new flowers in bloom.  Taking inspirations from those times, the new Spring Jubilee Collection was prefect for this little layout – a pop of fresh colors and gorgeous floral designs.

Being inspired by flowers, I could resist getting out my Silhouette machine to create this gorgeous layered flower using the Soiree pattern paper from the collection and one of Lori Whitlock’s flower designs.  Also the patterns from the Party pattern paper provided the perfect background and loving the gorgeous butterfly there and as you can probably tell, could resist putting the chipboard and rub-on ones to use.

I wanted to create a little something to remind me of those spring times and also that I’m another year old – hopefully this year I’ll finally make the changes that I’ve been wanting (doing a bit of spring cleaning here).  Thanks for stopping by everyone and what spring projects do you have up your sleeves? :)
