Epiphany Crafts Blog Hop: Day 4

Hi, this is Kim Arnold here today!

The Epiphany Crafts products were so much fun to play with! What makes them so great is that because you can add you own paper to them, they can go with any layout that you want. This makes them so flexible and a great addition to your scrappy stash.

For my layout, I have used the beautiful silver setting with the scallop edge to add that extra bit of detail to the “o” in my title. It was so easy to add my choice of the yellow paper behind the bubble cap to create exactly the look I was after.

I have also used the little hanging settings to add my initial and age to hang below the ribbon knot. I used the Pink Paislee Bitty Blocks along with patterned paper under the bubble caps and it worked perfectly! I love the extra personalisation that this adds to my layout. Again, super easy to achieve with the Epiphany Crafts tools.

Epiphany Crafts Blog Hop: Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of the Epiphany Crafts Blog Hop!

Hi everyone, this is Felicitas and this is my very first blog post for Pink Paislee…whoohoo! As the other girls, I also have some projects to show you that were made with the amazing Epiphany Crafts & Pink Paislee products. I love the caps – and the tools are really fun to play with! Because we’re so close to Valentine’s Day, I also themed my projects with love.

Did you see the title of my card? I customized some Epiphany Craft caps to create some graffiti style alphas. Here is the quick tutorial how to make it.

Supplies: Pink Paislee paper stripes (mine are from Vintage Vogue), Epiphany Crafts tool “Scallopes Circle 25″, matching Epiphany Crafts “Bubble Caps”, some cute paper shapes and a black pen.

Step 1: Draw the single types on your paper. If you don’t know which size will fit in the cap, you can punch out an empty shape to get the right height for your types.

Step 2: Place the stripe into the tool and push the bubble cap on the top. Give a good pressure to the epoxy and punch out the embellishment.

Step 3: Almost finished. The paper glues onto the epoxy and for a good long lasting adhesion, I pressed both parts together again.

Step 4: This is it! You can also incorporate some cute flat paper shapes like the red heart in the Epiphany Crafts caps. I really like this effect.

Because I was really in the crafting process, I created another project making customized alphas. This will be hubby’s lunch bag for Valentine’s Day.  ;)

As you see in the last picture, you can also incorporate the “Snow Day – Bitty Blocks” alphas in these bubble caps…very versatile, right? Hope you give it a try and thanks for visiting the Pink Paislee blog today!

See you, Felicitas

Epiphany Crafts Blog Hop: Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of Epiphany Crafts blog hop!

Hey everyone! It’s Larissa here with my first blog post as a Pink Paislee Design Team member!!!

Today I want to share a layout I did recently in which I added some cool custom embellishments made with Pink Paislee papers and the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio tool – a super cool tool that allows us to create unique embellishments with just scraps of paper, a few Epiphany Crafts acessories and some creativity!

Let me give you some tips on how I did these three custom embellishments.

Instructions:

1.       First, stamp desired pattern onto a strip of paper.

2.       Place desired pattern into the tool and position through the viewfinder.

3.       Place epoxy shape through the viewfinder directly onto your image  and press.

4.       Place insert into tool.

5.       Close the lid and press to punch.

6.       Glue it to the charm.

7.       Cut off the handle of the silver charm.

8.       Glue it to the paper rosettes.

9.       Or sew Pink Paislee´s trims to create a beautiful flower.

10.   Here they are – 3 new embellishments!

That´s it! I hope you have enjoyed this tool and tutorial as much as I did! Thanks for stopping by today and don’t forget to come back this week for more Epiphany Crafts projects ideas!

Epiphany Crafts Blog Hop: Day 1

All this week, we will be sharing some creative projects using Epiphany Crafts products combined with Pink Paislee products! This is Janna here today with two cards to share with you.

I created two cards using some of my favorite Pink Paislee supplies (remember my crush on Pink Paislee’s Ephemera?!) and the gorgeous metal settings from Epiphany Crafts. I love the elegance they bring to any project and they can easily be used as a special highlight, like on the cards I created.

As I chose the round metal settings, I combined them with Pink Paislee’s foam stickers (which I really really love!) and replaced the letter “o” with one of the metal settings. Adding a bit of twine to your project makes it look lighter, and there are so many ways to tie the knot, as you can see I chose the messy style, to lighten up the straight design of my “Love” card.

Hope you enjoyed these little love cards, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Leave a comment today and EACH day this week during the blog hop for your chance to win a Pink Paislee prize pack! A winner will be chosen randomly at the end of the week from all of the comments. Also visit the Epiphany Crafts website and their blog this week for more ideas and giveaways!

Meet Special Events Member Vicki Boutin

Please help me welcome returning team member Vicki! We are excited to have her back again to help out with some of our specific project needs for special events!

A little about Vicki:

With a background in Graphic Design and Fine Arts, Vicki is always on a mission to learn something new and then find a way to share it!  Her motto is “Give it a try!  You won’t know if it’s your style unless you try it!”  Vicki’s work is currently published in Scrapbooks, Etc and she writes a quarterly article for Scrapbooks and Cards, Today magazine, as well as teaching workshops around the world.  Make sure to check out Vicki’s new book Creative Foundations, released in January 2012!  She is so excited to be a part of the Pink Paislee team and looks forward to a year of new creative endeavors!!!

How did you get started in paper crafting?

Like a lot of crafters, I started scrapbooking after the birth of my first child.  I had always played around with being creative but my new baby meant LOTS of photos and I found a way to enjoy photography and art through scrapbooking!

What inspires you to create?

Everything!!  I really like to find a way to “create” everyday.  I love product, I love the Internet and blogs and I love idea books and magazines.  The inspiration is really everywhere, you just have to open your eyes to it.

Do you prefer layouts, altered projects, cards…or all of the above?

Definitely all of the above!  I play with all papercrafting mediums and mixed media stuff, too.  If it tickles your fancy, my motto is GIVE IT A TRY!!!

How would you describe your style?

Ready??  Linear Funk.  I made it up.  I like control and I like to make a mess.  So I make “contained” messes with a ton of color!!

A fun fact about you?

I like to laugh…a lot.  I am a little crazy, too.  Life is too short not to enjoy living it.

Any other hobbies?

Who has time?!?!?  I love photography.  I love decorating and organizing, too.

What is your favorite current Pink Paislee product?

ALL of the wood stuff!  Endless possibilities!!!!

Take a look at these beautiful layouts and a mini album by Vicki…

Stunning, right?!
