Core’dinations Blog Hop: Day 3

Hi there! It’s Mona here and it’s Day 3 of the Core’dinations Blog Hop!

Did you know Core’dinations makes cardstock to match Pink Paislee lines? It is called Core’dinations Pink Paislee Modern Prints Collection. The colors and patterns are a must have this season!

I made a few Autumn inspired treat bags that may be filled with sweet treats for your loved ones. Using the Cricut Expressions, I cut the Waltzingmouse Tea Bag Baggie template using various prints and colors of paper from Core’dinations Pink Paislee Modern Prints Collection. NOTE: I slightly hand sanded all the embossed paper which really makes the embossed image “pop”!

Close up, you can see the beautiful embossed lattice pattern of the Core’dinations Pink Paislee Modern Prints Collection. The butterfly and decorative strips were made using pretty patterned paper from the Nantucket Collection and the doily was made using Vintage Vogue ~ Tailored Suit paper.

The next treat bag sample showcases the gorgeous embossed chevron pattern from the Core’dinations Pink Paislee Modern Prints Collection:

This treat bag features a pear made using paper from Core’dinations Pink Paislee Modern Prints Collection. The circle die cut was made using Vintage Vogue ~ Tailored Suit patterned paper, the decorative circle, strips and leaves were made using patterned paper from the Nantucket ~ 6×6 Paper Pack.

Lastly, the next treat bag showcases the beautiful hexagon embossed pattern from Core’dinations Pink Paislee Modern Prints Collection:

This treat bag features an apple made using Vintage Vogue ~ Tailored Suit patterned paper which was misted using Ranger’s Adirondack Red Pepper Color Wash, the leaf and lacey doily were made using various paper from Core’dinations Pink Paislee Modern Prints Collection and the decorative strips were made using patterned paper from the Phantom ~ 6×6 Paper Pack:

As you can see, the Core’dinations Pink Paislee Modern Prints Collection is full of so many beautiful colors and patterns, making it a must have this season!

Core’dinations Blog Hop: Day 1

Hello! All this week on the Pink Paislee blog, we will be showcasing projects that combine the Core’dinations cardstock patterns with Pink Paislee papers and embellishments! Did you know Core’dinations makes cardstock to match our lines?  We call it our Modern Prints collection and the colors and patterns are a must have this season!

Be sure to read the bottom of this blog post to find out all the ways you can enter to win some prizes this week as we team up with the design team over at Core-dinations to host this fun Blog Hop Party!

First, I have a layout to share. Check out the texture in this beautiful cardstock! I used a little bit of Mister Huey Calico White mist and sprayed it on the cardstock. On the yellow piece, I just used my hand and swiped the mist over the embossed design before it dried. On the brown, I left the little paint splotches as the mist fell on my page.

I cut some 2″ circles from red cardstock and stamped them with a stamp from the Phantom line. It actually says “beware” in the center of the stamp, but I covered that up with the punched leaves from the Nantucket line.

I chose a Nantucket Trading Card that says, “playful” to tuck behind the photo and a “peek-a-boo” saying from the Nantucket Ephemera. See the script over the top of the yellow cardstock? That is a Butterfly Garden Press On. I love to add layers!

I finished the page off with printed journaling that says, “Thankful for your energy, your determination, your sweet soul. I love you, Mom. 10-29-10″. I added a “counting my blessings” stamp from my stash by Papertrey Ink.

Next, I have a couple of quick cards to share made with Core’dinations cardstock and the Butterfly Garden line!

I sanded the brown cardstock down to reveal the yellow center, so pretty.  I used more Core’dinations cardstock for the leaf and background for my Butterfly Garden -Ephemera and Butterfly Garden -Baubles.

This next card utilizes a Butterfly Garden Clear Stamp (doily shape) and Butterfly Garden Ephemera.

You can see I’ve used leftover cardstock from my layout to create these cards! The “little things” is a stamp from my stash by Papertrey Ink.

Thanks so much for visiting our blog today, and be sure to stop by each day this week for more cardstock inspiration!

Mix It Up: Grateful for Friends

All this month on the Pink Paislee blog, we are sharing ideas for the theme of “gratitude” or “family”. Today I have mixed a couple of Pink Paislee lines on my layout, the Butterfly Garden line and the Nantucket line.  That is one thing about Pink Paislee papers that I love so much -  they coordinate so well, no matter what papers you choose!

Journaling says, “So grateful for friends! Taylor, Kati, Makayla and Madelynn Chandler at the pumpkin patch this year. 10-2011″

I started the layout by choosing papers I liked together from the Butterfly Garden and Nantucket lines, and just punched 2″ circles out of them with my Fiskars punch. I placed them on white cardstock. Next, I used a bunch of photos from our pumpkin picking this year.  My girls had some friends come along with us this time, and it was a great photo opportunity! :)

I used some Nantucket Ribbon Trims (yellow stripe), a Nantucket Clear Stamp (script text), a heart pin from my stash, a little clock brad from the Vintage Vogue line and the alphabet letters from the Phantom line.

Some of the photos I took in the pumpkin patch were taken far away, so I was able to punch the small faces out and add them inside these patterned paper circles.

I printed out some journaling and added it to the bottom of my page, then added some strips of paper and Core’dinations cardstock around the edge of the layout.

What are you grateful for this season?

October Contest Winner {Congratulations Jennifer Snyder}

Congratulations To Jennifer Snyder the winner of our October Phantom Decor Contest!  Jennifer just blew us away with her Skeletons In The Closet themed project.  Not only was her project cleverly named and themed but we adored her use of our products.  The clear frames, the papers and of course the happy haunting banner kit all make an appearance within this spooky box of treasures.  Look closely to see all of the miniature skeletons and trinkets!  Jennifer we are not sure what Skeletons might actually be hanging in your closet but we do know you will have an extra $50 to spend at Amazon.com!

Mix It Up: Phantom & Twilight

Hey everyone!  Roree here, and today’s post is all about mixing a little past with the present:  Phantom & Twilight.  Twilight is still one of my favorite Halloween collections, and I was so happy to bring it back out and pair it with some of the fun papers and embellishments from the Phantom collection.

When I think of Halloween, I think of treats.  I thought it would be fun to create a cupcake box.  I used my Cricut Expression and Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge to create the box.  I used patterned paper from the Twilight collection.

I then dressed up the roof line with the ‘Spooky’ sticker from the Phantom collection.

I just love this font!

Next, I created some ghosts using my Cricut Expression and Happy Hauntings cartridge, and patterned papers from both Phantom and Twilight.

I placed one ghost inside and one outside of the box.

Lastly, I created a couple pumpkins using my Cricut Expression and Mini Monsters cartridge.  I used Phantom papers and brads.

So, are you ready for Halloween?  If not, better get moving!  ;)   And if you are still doing some creating before Monday,  don’t forget pull out your older Halloween collections and mix them with the new ones.  It will make them go a lot further.

Hope you all have a Happy (and safe) Halloween!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
